Eco-line Wearables Coming: Aurora!

Announcement: New collaborative eco-line wearable collections.  Upcycling glass to merge with a poetic palette inspired by our very dear planet, Earth.

Aurora was born out of a collaboration between forest flaneur Rosalinda Ruiz Scarfuto and glass artist Angela Thwaites fusing their talents to create a line of wearable art that becomes an ambassador for ecological awareness.  Rosalinda first visited Mer de Glace (France) glacier in 2019 and was devastated by the ice melting at an alarming rate.  Since then, the Forest Flaneur has branched out into other ecosystems.  Through Angela’s experimentation with glass, the character of the pieces transforms the poetic response into an heirloom treasure to wear and pass onto future generations.

Angela and Rosalinda first met at the National Glass Centre, UK. while researching for their respective PhDs in art practice.

Palette colour inpirations are derived from ecosytems and their sustainability values.

Honey Bee Yellows-Pollinators for vegetable patches and immune boosters.

Olive Branch Greens: Symbol of peace.

Sea Grass Greens: Feeding grounds for marine life & mother turtles.
